4 Best Amy Adams Movies On Netflix | Actress Who Can Do It All!

The Woman In The Window was slated to release much earlier than 2021 and was delayed because of the pandemic. It is an adaptation of a book of the same name and is a psychological thriller. Amy Adams portrays the role of Anna, a psychologist who suffers from agoraphobia –  the fear of being surrounded by people.

She lives away from people, secluded in her apartment until she becomes friends with Jane, her neighbor from across the street. Anna witnesses the murder of Jane by her husband and calls the police on them. Her world comes crashing down when she realizes that the events didn’t happen and it was just her imagination. But was that her imagination?

The movie sees a very stunning performance by Amy Adams. The Woman In The Window has a stellar star cast that captivates you and keeps you hooked. It will make you question what’s real and what isn’t. Also, Amy Adams’ portrayal of mental health shines a light on issues that aren’t often talked about.

2# Hillbilly Elegy (2019)

There is no escaping family drama. We can’t, and neither can our heroes in some movies. Hillbilly Elegy follows the life of a Yale grad student J.D., who is on the verge of securing his dream job. Suddenly a family crisis makes him drop his plans and move home with his mother, Bev.

Amy Adams, who plays the role of Bev, is a single mother and has struggled with addiction her whole life. J.D now must navigate his new life and help out his mother with her condition. He needs to sort things out for his family now, to have any kind of shot at a stable life in the future.

Based on a personal memoir written by J.D. Vance, the movie is sure to bring you to tears. Hillbilly Elegy is not only sad, but the acting and storyline make it phenomenal too. I don’t say this lightly when I say Hillbilly Elegy is one of the best Amy Adams movies on Netflix you can watch right now.
