3 Must Watch Movies Before Godzilla vs Kong

Read along to find must-watch movies before Godzilla vs Kong and how they will play their part in this monster action movie.

Godzilla

Godzilla, the first-ever Hollywood-made movie released in 2016, had a good impact at the box office. The film stars the MCU maximoff twins, played by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor, as a young couple Ford and Elle Brody. The movie takes us back to the year 1999, where we see Ford’s father working as a supervisor at a nuclear plant where his wife died. Joe is trying to find the reason behind the accident that took his wife’s life, and when he goes back to the facility 15 years later, it is shown destroyed, and the creatures of the other world poorly injure him.

Sometime later, Joe and his son Ford find that there are shreds of evidence leading to the existence of a giant flying creature given the name MUTO(Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism). The beast is feeding itself from the nuclear reactor for the past 15 years and has become very powerful. However, the only difficulty that Ford and other scientists are facing is that the MUTO has disappeared.

Not to spoil the movie for those who haven’t seen it, the film finally goes to the point that everyone anticipated since the beginning, a massive fight between Godzilla and the flying creature MUTO. Can you guess the ultimate winner of this epic monster fight? The reason this becomes one of the must-watch movies before Godzilla vs Kong is the Project Monarch. The theme is a part of every MonsterVerse that started with this movie itself and will be a part of future releases.

Kong: Skull Island

Skull Island is a mysterious place full of creatures that are non-existent to the world. A group of scientists, again played by the Marvel legends Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel Jackson, reach the island to study it closely and know more about this mysterious place. Their crew also contains Lt. Col Preston Packard, and Bill Randa leads them all. To the group’s surprise, they not only find Kong there, but they also find one WWII pilot Hank Marlow on that island.

The WWII pilot was left to die after he crashed his plane in a 1944 crash, and it landed there. Marlow then reveals that he has spent all these years living with the Iwi tribe and Kong, a very peaceful giant ape, and protects the tribe from Skullcrawlers, monstrous creatures who killed the other planes are a threat to the tribe’s existence.

Here everyone knows that not all the crew members have a golden heart, and some are planning to kill Kong already. But if you haven’t seen the movie, we won’t spoil the fun for you and keep it till this point only. However, in the ending scenes, it is shown that Project Monarch members can get their hands on cave paintings that show the existence of other creatures like Godzilla, and Mothra making it one of the must-watch movies before Godzilla vs Kong.
