Influencers with 1,000-10,000 followers are known as micro-influencers. And they can make about $1,420 per month. Mega influencers, i.e. people with over a million followers can make an average of $15,356 per month. 

However, only 23% of the micro-influencers could say that they are able to make some money. Whereas, 68.75% of influencers with followers anywhere between 500k to one million followers could earn using their Instagram accounts. 

The amount of money an influencer makes also depends on their niche. For example, if an average influencer is making about $31 an hour, then a beauty influencer can surely make $60 an hour, which is almost double the former. But, some mega influencers, irrespective of their niche, can also go about making $187 per hour. If you take all categories into account, the one making the most are animals, business and marketing, and fitness and sport.
