Floribama Shore might be a mouthful to say, but the show is a mainstay in the hearts of its fans, that have loved the show over the years. First released in 2017 as a successor to the hit reality show Jersey Shore, Floribama Shore has taken a life of its own. With the 4th season just concluding some time ago, rumors about Floribama Shore season 5 have already started.

For those who live under a rock, let me first get you acquainted with what the heck Floribama Shore is about! Floribama Shore takes place down on the sandy beaches of Panama Beach City, Florida, and follows the lives of eight young adults. These men and women make up the main cast of the show. 

It is entirely unscripted (at least as far as we know), and a camera crew follows the lives of these eight people living in a shared house. They party, play games, indulge in petty politics, and make and break friendships as they keep us entertained.

With its growing popularity, Floribama Shore has seen four seasons till now. Amassing huge viewership online and on cable TV where it’s originally aired. Critics attribute the show’s success to its predecessor Jersey Shore for paving the way for reality shows like these. 

These young, energetic, and handsome cast members do share similarities. Their wild antics at parties and reckless attitude are relatable across all generations. The show’s popularity was such that for its fourth season, filming had to take place amidst global lockdowns to get the fans what they wanted. Filming took place in late 2020, and the show premiered in February and May of 2021.

Usual filming, as obvious by the show’s name, would originally take place in Panhandle, Florida. To circumvent the restrictions, Floribama Shore season 4 filming took place in the mountains of Montana. The second half of the season is being filmed at Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Floribama Shore Season 5 Release Date | When Can We Expect It?

Floribama Shore season 5 has not been officially renewed, nor has it been officially canceled. Considering the fanbase around the show, we don’t think it makes sense to cancel it anyway. But if we were to form an educated guess on when the new season might be coming, then the best would be late 2021 or early 2022.

If nothing gets delayed by another set of lockdowns, this schedule seems ideal. Floribama Shore season 4 filming also took place around the same schedule, so this makes the most sense. With the previous season fresh in the fans’ minds, we think the producers are waiting to gauge a better reaction from the fans before committing to another season. 

Floribama Shore Season 5 Plot And Story | What Can We See In The New Season?

Floribama Shore’s first two seasons were crazy and filled with adventures. The next two were a bit more toned down and saw a lot of twists. In Floribama Shore season 4, Codi and Candace announced that were going to get engaged. Kortni Gilson was also not in the previous season, so there is a potential for new people and relationship dynamics to start.

With the previous season seeing a change of location, we feel different locations is the way to go. Alcohol-filled beach parties might have worked until now, but a refreshed approach seems promising in an alternate location. The cast and crew both seemed to like that change in the previous season, and if that is any indication, then the new season will most likely see some of the same. 

Floribama Shore season 5 also has a lot of previous baggage to open. Relationship drama, cheating accusations, and whatnot. Things were left at a standstill as season 4 ended, and the fans will be looking for answers.

Gus Smyrnios and Jeremiah Buoni had their beef and haven’t seemed to have spoken since the show ended. The party must, of course, end, but whether that was this season or will that be Floribama Shore season 5 remains to be seen.

Floribama Shore Season 4 Recap | What Happened In The Previous Season?

The cast members met each other after a huge gap of 18 months, and the first thing that happened on the sets was a huge reunion. Feelings were exchanged, stories were told, and old sparks were reignited. With Codi and Candace’s news about their engagement Nilsa also decided to tell the crew about her pregnancy.

Floribama Shore season 4 also led to a change of scene which led to many new adventures and experiences for the crew. Some cast had never seen snow, and this was their first-ever experience witnessing it. With enough cold weather experience, the season shifted to hotter climates in Arizona. 

Arizona saw lots of drama and chaos breakout. Gus made a revealing confession that broke all codes set by the gang. He admitted to hooking up with Aimee’s cousin, thus crossing a line he had promised he wouldn’t be crossing. 

We also saw two new people in the mix – Josh and Lenns. Following the introduction, the gang went car racing and ended up in a crash. Luckily the crash wasn’t serious, and the whole gang came out safe from it.

As the season progressed and neared its end, the gang decided to throw a baby shower for Nilsa. Everyone put their differences aside and got together to celebrate a new life. We saw tears and hugs all around.

Floribama Shore Season 5 Cast And Crew | Who Can We Expect To See This Time Around?

Floribama Shore Season 5 will see less of the people we were so used to seeing. With Codi and Candace being engaged, they will most likely not be taking part in the show again. Candace also revealed in an interview that she has gotten an acting job in a movie. So looks like she will be moving on.

Nilsa Prowant also let the crewmembers into massive news of her own. In Floribama Shore Season 4 she announced her pregnancy. With that news, Nilsa is also expected not to return to a life of booze and to party anytime soon. Wouldn’t want that for her newborn now, will we?

As mentioned previously, Kortni Gilson will also not be returning to Floribama Shore season 5 or any other season. She quit the show citing mental health reasons and is now working as a mental health advocate. Replacing her, we saw Mattie Lynn Breaux on the show. After Kortin left the show, she faced a lot of criticism on social media. That’s not it, she shared through Instagram how she had to leave the show. The entertainment industry could do with some mental health counseling. 

Untill three seasons, the makers were happy with their primary cast members. As season 4 approached, they opted for some new faces. Besides the departures, we don’t know who else will be reprising their roles in the show. There will be new cast members that will be added to the roster, but their identities are not currently known either.

Floribama Shore Season 5 Trailer | Is There One Out Yet?

Floribama Shore season 5 has not been confirmed yet, so there is no official trailer out either. If MTV decides to give the show the green light, we can expect the trailer to be released at least a month before the release of the first episode of the show. So with Floribama Shore season 5 looking set for a 2022 release, the trailer will also be released around the same time.

During season 4, the makers released the trailer almost one month before the arrival of the first episode. So, I guess they are likley to follow the same pattern this time as well!

After having clarity on the authenticity of Floribama Shore, there was a lot of craze among fans to know about the filming location of season 4. But they were unable to get an answer to it. Thankfully, we are in a position to lean about the location this time.

Let me tell you first of all that you might be not able to see pristine beaches and lush green lands in this season. Keep your fingers crossed! For season 5, there is highly possibility that the makers may decide to move to some other place. And it might be some luxurious location or you can even say a peaceful place.
