Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Steps On How To Clean A Cuisinart Coffee Maker!
To clean a Cuisinart coffee maker, all you need is water, white vinegar, and a soft cloth. Follow all the easy peasy steps mentioned below once you have all these things with you.
Step 1: Empty The Coffee Machine And Add Vinegar & Water
Fill the carafe cup with 8 cups of water (two-third of the container) and pour it into the reservoir of the coffee machine. Then take 4 ounces of white vinegar and add it to the reservoir the same way you did with the water.
Note that with time the inside of the coffee machine gets developed with minerals and hard water. Vinegar can be helpful to clean the inside of the coffee machine as it decalcifies the reservoir and kills all the molds hiding inside the corners.
Step 2: Press The Clean Button On The Coffee Machine
Now close the reservoir lid and on the coffee machine, press and hold the clean button for three seconds. A red light will start to blink, which will activate the clean mode of the machine. Once the process begins, the mixture of vinegar and water starts cleansing the inside elements of the coffee machine.
The process will take more time than is usually required to brew the coffee. Once the process is completed, the machine will beep a few times. Also, note that if your coffee machine does not have a clean button, press the brew button to start the cleaning process.
Step 3: Add Cold Water To The Reservoir
The machine will pour hot vinegar and water solution into the carafe cup during the cleaning process, so once the process is over, you have to dump the hot mixture.
Now to get rid of vinegar solution inside the coffee machine, add some cold water to the reservoir and run a brew cycle. This will clean the coffee machine properly.
Step 4: Clean The Carafe, Filter, Base
The vinegar and water solution will clean the inside of the coffee machine. To clean the carafe cup, filter and base, use a tablespoon of soap solution and a clean soft cloth (you know the drill). Pleases do not use hard scrubbing pads, steel wool, or sos pads to clean the outside of the machine as it will give scratches to it.
Advisory: Once the inside cleaning process is done, turn off the coffee machine for half an hour and let it cool down.
Step 5: Allow The Parts To Dry Completely
Following all the steps properly will give you a neat and clean coffee machine. Remember, before using the device for subsequent use, let it dry completely. Use a towel or set all the pieces in a dish drainer to completely air-dry the parts.
How To Clean A Cuisinart Dual Coffee Maker?
The difference between a simple and a dual Cuisinart coffee maker is that the dual one has both multiple and single-serve coffee sections. As mentioned above, I have discussed how to clean the multiple serve section of the coffee machine; here, you will learn how to clean the single section of the coffee machine.
Step 1: Add A Portion Of Clean Water And White Vinegar To Reservoir
Fill the reservoir with the mixture of vinegar and clean water, after doing this press and hold the first two buttons on the machine to start the descaling process. Once the descaling process starts, the red light above the “clean” will start blinking.
The process will start to dispense the hot mixture of vinegar and water. When the descaling stops, you have to repeat the operation by pressing the first two buttons until the add water indicator glows.
Step 2: Add Clean Water To The Reservoir
Now that we have dispensed all the water-vinegar solution, it’s time to add cold water to the reservoir and start the descaling process again. Following this process will help you get rid of all the vinegar solutions.
Step 3: Clean The Reusable Filter Holder
The single-serve section of the coffee machine comes with a reusable filter holder that is called home barista. You can clean the filter inside the filter holder using a soft brush or by putting it in a dishwasher. Remember to clean the filter every time you use it.
On a final note, I will say that to clean the inside of the coffee machine; you need a solution with acetic constituents. If you don’t have vinegar, then as its substitute, you can use dish soap, lemon juice, vodka, or baking soda. Happy cleaning fellas!
