Release Date Of Loki Season 2 | When Is Loki Arriving!!!

Loki Season 2: Everything You Need To Know!

Here’s the truth—While Season 2 is definitely on its way, as confirmed in the end credits of Season 1, we do not have an official release date yet. With so much already scheduled for release in the MCU, an accurate timeline is difficult to make. But don’t let that dishearten you.

A news report from Backstage Magazine has confirmed that Loki Season 2 will begin production this summer. But take this with a grain of salt. Because if Loki is set to begin shooting this summer, there’s no confirmation of this by Marvel yet, the show won’t come out until 2023.

Taking the painstaking processes that go into the making of a show, a summer 2023 premiere date can be safely assumed. Also, there’s some speculation that Loki Season 2 might come out around or before the release of Quantumania. The latter is set to release in July 2023.

Loki Season 2

Kate Herron will not be directing Loki Season 2. In an interview, she said that she only ever intended to make 6 episodes of Loki.

One thing we do know is that Tom Hiddleston will play Loki— because it’s hard to imagine any other actor portraying our Loki. Plus, Tom Hiddleston is one of the main reasons why Loki has been a fan favorite for ten years.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw will return as Ravonna Renslayer, as confirmed in an interview with GMA. However, as spoken in another interview, she has no idea what lies ahead for her character.

Besides that, seeing how Season 1 ended, we have some other Logical speculations:

  • Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
  • Owen Wilson as agent Mobius M. Mobius
  • Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie Lauefeydottir

And we have been hoping Jack Veal reprises his role as Kid Loki, just like in the comics.

Where Is Loki Season 2 Being Filmed?

Loki Season 2

The first season was shot at the Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Georgia, USA. However, a listing on Backstage, a casting website, revealed that Loki Season 2 would begin filming at the Pinewood Studios in the UK this summer.

The location was previously utilized by Marvel for various titles, including movies like Eternals, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Ant-Man, and the Wasp, among others.

Loki Season 2 Plot | What Will Loki Do?

Loki Season 2

By now, the scarcity of plot details should be expected and not surprising. But we can take hints from the gripping ending of Season 1 and speculate a few things. For example, Sylvie set off a multiverse war by killing Kang. Or, as predicted by Kang himself, even more, dangerous versions of He Who Remains rise to power.

We will find Loki coming to terms with Sylvie’s betrayal and the consequences of her incautious actions. He finds himself all alone as Mobius and B-15 fail to remember him. Things don’t seem to be in favor of God of Mischief.

And maybe, following the big reveal of episode 3 of Season 1, we may see Loki enjoy a romantic connection with another man? And Sylvie? After killing Kang, she finds herself alone in the Citadel. But she also has a TemPad, so we can expect her to appear soon. We will find out if she’s going to be a friend, or a for, or maybe even a lover?

With He Who Remains gone, we may see an infinite number of his variants rise and take control of the multiverse. The finale ended with Ravonna Renslayer going off in the search of her own free will. We may see more of her story in Season 2.

And as confirmed by Tom Hiddleston himself, we may find out more about the “moral complexity” of the TVA— its functions, values, inner workings, etc.

Loki Season 2 Trailer | Is It Out? When Can We See It?

No, it is not. It would be unwise to expect one until at least a year from now. Because it is going to be another year before our Loki returns with a season 2.
