Is it true that we will have a new Avengers team with Marvel Phase 5? I know it is early to predict the future of the next Marvel phase, but with the pace at which President Kevin Feige is going, things have started to pick up their speed.

After the events of Avengers: Endgame took place, we still haven’t seen which of the Avengers are still in action apart from Black Widow, Captain America, and Iron Man. Undoubtedly, the defeat of the Mad Titan Thanos does not mean that things have gone into peace in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The galaxy is filled with millions of planets, and there are still several threats that can destroy the multiverse.

To protect the galaxy and the multiverse, a new team of Avengers is needed, but I still am not sure if I can bid farewell to the original heroes. Marvel Phase 5 will announce Avengers once all the new heroes are ready and have proved their worth in different fights and battles. Until all the stand-alone movies in phase 5 aren’t released, there are hardly any chances to see the new team of Avengers.

If you stream the Marvel shows releasing on Disney+ in 2021 like WandaVision, Loki, and Falcon & the Winter Soldier, things will start making much more sense to you. These shows create a bridge after Endgame and Avengers’ present life and pave the way for the beginning of Marvel Phase 5.

Movies Releasing in Marvel Phase 5

Marvel phase 5

Below we will discuss the movies that will officially be a part of marvel phase 5 and some other movies that can potentially be a part of it. Read along the list to find more about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Official Marvel Phase 5 Movies

#1 Black Panther 2

Black Panther

The sequel to Chadwick Boseman’s hit movie Black Panther is the first that we have heard will be a part of Marvel phase 5. Initially, Black Panther was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby as the first African superhero in 1966. Black Panther made his debut in Lore, a comic book where he was the noble Prince T’Challa living in Wakanda, a city known for its unlimited Vibranium resources.

The 2018 movie Black Panther also became a hit at the box office and was claimed for stellar performances by Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan. The new Black Panther will see the cast reprising their roles as Shuri, Everett, and Okoye in Wakanda. Late actor Chadwick Boseman will also be seen in the movie as he had already begun to shoot for the film before his death.

Talking about the future of Black Panther, both Disney and Marvel President Kevin Feige have stated that Chadwick Boseman will not be replaced by any other actor as Black Panther.

#2 Captain Marvel 2

Captain Marvel 2

Who does not remember the 2019 superhit Marvel movie Captain Marvel that featured Brie Larson as the infamous female superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Captain Marvel is said to be equivalent to Thor in terms of power and super strength, but we all know who the real winner is here. Coming back to Brie Larson, the actor will be seen reprising her role for the Marvel phase 5 movie Captain Marvel 2.

There aren’t many revelations about the movie’s plot, but it will be good to follow Carol’s journey as Captain Marvel helping other planets after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The last time we saw Captain Marvel was in Avengers: Endgame, where she helped bring Tony Stark back home and played a significant role in the fight against The Mad Titan Thanos.

Apart from Brie Larson, Iman Vellani from Ms. Marvela and Teyonah Parris, who plays Monica Rambeau in WandaVision, will also be seen alongside Brie Larson (Carol Danvers) the big screen.

#3 Blade

Blade

The green signal to another Marvel phase 5 movie, Blade, was given at the 2019 Comic-Con, where Marvel President Kevin Feige and Mahershala Ali were present. The leading role of vampire-hunter Blade will be resurrected by Ali, who has won Oscar for his stellar Green Book and Moonlight performances. Before Black Panther, Blade featured the first black hero on-screen with actor Wesley Snipes.

The Blade was followed by two follow-up movies, Blade II and Blade: Trinity, which reported Wesley’s bizarre behavior on the movie sets. Now the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all set to bring back the vampire-slaying daywalker action with Mahershala Ali as the lead.

For now, there is no discussion about the plot of the movie and the other cast members, so it will be a little late till we see Blade coming back to dominate all others on the big screen.

#4 Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

Guardians of the Galaxy 3

GOTG 3 will follow the story after the events of Avengers: Endgame. At the end of the film, Thor goes along with Star-Lord and his crew into space, so there are many chances that we can see the team in some multiverse action, maybe in different timelines or galaxies. While, according to James Gunn, the production plans are going along just as he thought, there is still some time before we relish this colorful journey again.

Initially, there were a few bumps for GOTG due to some controversial tweets made by Gunn in the past. He was even fired as the movie director after receiving anger and disappointment from various cast members, including Dave Bautista. However, now he is back in action, and the shooting for the movie will start this year itself.

The movie will have the same cast with Chris Patt as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot, and others. However, there are chances that we will see Chris Hemsworth making his debut in GOTG as Thor.

#5 Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Antman and the Wasp: Quantamania

Ant-Man movies have proved to be of great consequence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially in Avengers: Endgame. The concept of Quantum Realm is one of the significant highlights of Endgame film where Scott Lang (played by the charming Paul Rudd) re-appears in time and helps the Avengers get back in different timelines to retrieve the infinity stones.

Had it not been the Quantum Realm, defeating Thanos was almost impossible for our superheroes. We see that Scott reunites with his daughter, and he also gets his crew back, Hope Van Dyne and Hank Pym. So, there are a lot of events that we can see in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

It will be interesting to see Hope getting back in action and Ant-Man and his mentor, Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas. Maybe we will also see glimpses of Scott and his daughter and the five years they lost together because of the Quantum Realm.
