If you are a fan of the famous anime One Piece (1999-present), this might not be surprising. A live-action version of our favorite show is coming! Back in 2021, we got the names of actors who will be playing the main roles. Now Netflix has added six new faces to the One Piece cast. Let’s check out who those are!

Originally a manga created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece was first published in 1997. It got adapted into a series in 1999. And Oda has been a writer and illustrator for the anime as well. Guys, there is more good news, as Oda, the real OG himself, will be coming in as executive producer on the show. So the bar for One Piece live-action is already set high!

Now Netflix announced that it had cast six more actors for the show. Morgan Davies, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Aidan Scott, Jeff Ward, McKinley Belcher III, and Vincent Regan are all set to join the main cast. Besides the confirmed main cast, these will be the new members joining in.

This star-studded cast is sure to bring some hype to the show, not that One Piece needs it. If there is one thing we know Netflix will be doing a good job at, it is casting the right kind of people.

One Piece Cast | Faces We Will See As The One Piece Live-Action Cast

Recently we have seen a lot of anime and mangas get picked up by Netflix. Animes like Death Note and Cowboy Bebop have already had one season or more to their name. Now One Piece will soon be joining the list. Netflix ordered 10 episodes of the show. Looks like they don’t want to put all their eggs in one basket and take a gamble on the show. But if any of the showrunners are reading this article, guys, please order more!

The Plot Of One Piece | Will The Live-Action Be The Same As The Anime?

One Piece Cast Announced By Netflix | Six New Faces Enter The Show!

One Piece live-action will also follow the same storyline as the manga. The story follows a pirate, Monkey D. Luffy, who is searching for the ultimate treasure, known as the One Piece. On his pursuit, he meets many friends and makes a crew around them. The crew share the same passion as Luffy and are free-spirited like him.

The anime received love not only in its native Japan but the world over. It has been dubbed into English and many other international languages. The anime has spanned over two decades and is still going to this day. It has clocked over 1000 episodes and does not show any signs of stopping. While we have been promised 10 episodes of the One Piece live-action, hopefully, we will be getting. I don’t think it will touch any way near the number of the anime, but at least a good few seasons is a fair deal.
