Coming from the house of A24 studios, Saint Maud is a horror and psychological thriller. The cinematography is amazing and helps create the sense of fear more and more, which aids the storyline. A hospital nurse faces the trauma of a patient dying in her care.

Sometime later, we see that she has converted to Catholicism and refers to herself as Maud. She gets obsessed with a patient under her care and feels she has to ‘save’ her soul. As the movie progresses, things slowly go out of hand as Maud falls deeper and deeper into delusion. Saint Maud is one of the best supernatural movies on Netflix you can watch right now!

5# Possessor (2020)

5# Possessor (2020)

The Possessor combines elements of Sci-Fi and supernatural in one movie, giving us the best of both worlds. Tasya Vos is an assassin who carries out hits by taking over someone else’s body through an implant in their brain. The time she spends in someone else’s body leaves her own weak and exhausted.

This detachment starts to grow so much that following one of her missions, she is unable to get back to her own body. She is now stuck inside a man’s body, and time is running out for her to get back. The Possessor is entertaining and intriguing, both at the same time.

Director: Brandon Cronenberg

Starring: Andrea Riseborough, Christopher Abbott

IMDb Rating: 6.5/10
