The Curse Of Oak Island premiered its 9th season on November 2, 2021, on The History channel. Each episode lasts around an hour and is released weekly. Some huge discoveries about treasures were made in The Curse Of Oak Island Season 8. The crew discovered evidence of French officers and naval forces using the island as a treasure trove. This discovery dates back to 1745 when the French hid their exploits from the Fortress of Louisbourg from the British.
The crew found wood and wreckage of trunks sent for carbon dating. The dating gave a rough estimate of 1740’s indicating Captain Reid’s (a famous naval historian) theories about the region to be true. According to Reid, the area on Oak Island known as Smith’s Cove could be a part of a ‘water batter’ used for fortifying an island.
From there, season 9 picked up and explored this. The season also saw the crew switch interest to one of the most sought-after discoveries. A 90 ft long stone. The stone was unearthed very long ago near the ‘Money Pit’ and had inscriptions written. These inscriptions had a message that said that the island had a treasure hidden. But since its discovery, the rock has been missing.

The Lagina brothers – Marty and Rick, purchased a controlling majority of the island in April of 2006. Excavation on the island and a treasure hunt started in 2010, and it was three years later, History Channel started documenting the process and made it into a reality show.
The Oak Island mystery isn’t recent and goes back hundreds of years. The first instance of explorations goes back to the 18th century. According to historians, the island holds treasures and secrets in its belly that range from the origin of Shakespearean novels to the Holy Grail.
It is said that the ancient Knights Templar buried the ark of Covenant along with the Holy Grail in the Oak Islands. Various treasure hunters have discovered lots of artifacts throughout the years. Although from a historical perspective they might be considered treasures, there isn’t any gold or diamond found till now.

Other more notable people who invested time and money in Oak Islands are actors John Wayne and Errol Flynn. They invested in the drilling machinery required for the excavation of the island. Hoping their investment will lead to a breakthrough, which unfortunately didn’t happen.
William Vincent Astor is another notable name who invested a lot of money in the island. William became the heir to the family’s money after his father passed away aboard the Titanic.

The Curse Of Oak Island is most likely coming around next year. We don’t know how the current season, that is, season 9 will end. Since the reality show can swing in any direction, the show may be wrapped up within this season only. The Curse of Oak Island features a total of 161 episodes for all the nine seasons and is a documentary reality TV shows that primarily focuses on various artifacts hidden in the Oak Island. The series first started in 2014 and became popular due to its interesting concept since it is quite unique in comparison to other reality TV shows.

I have been watching this show since it began, and hate to see each season end and am very anxious to have the next season begin. I sure would like to know when Season 10 will begin.
