WandaVision made a debut on our TV screens in January this year, and since then, fans have been thinking about how the series will make a connection with the Marvel Cinematic Universe? After all, this wasn’t the first time a marvel show was released on this platform.

Disney+ has been home to other Marvel shows like Daredevil, Agents of Shield way before WandaVision. However, those never had any genuine connection with the MCU. But since Kevin Feige stated that from now on, all the shows releasing on disney+ would be interlinked with MCU in one way or the other, fans have been making connections between the two.

With the release of WandaVision’s finale episode, things became pretty clear for both the viewers and the critics. Prior to release, the question of the hour was would WandaVision be able to meet the expectations of the fans? Will it have that enigma the fans want? Will it be able to leave an expression, a mark on the viewers’ hearts. Well, post the release, the tables have turned completely, and they have turned for good.

Now that we have the complete series at our disposal and a few easter eggs here and there as well let us get into the bottom of WandaVision and discover how the series will connect to the events of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and Captain Marvel 2

At the beginning of the series, it is revealed that Westview is a manifestation of Wanda’s grief and sorrow. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War that included Vision’s death, Wanda was filled with grief and sorrow. Instead of coping with the grief, she chose to create this Hex where she could live happily ever after with Vision.

Wanda’s fantasy world is more like a classical sitcom traversing from the ’60s to the ’70s to the ’80s and then finally to the present world. Wanda is seen enjoying her marital bliss with Vision and their two children. As the show progresses, it is revealed that Agatha, a powerful witch, has been living in the Hex, and now Wanda has no choice other than to destroy the world she created and release the residents from the trance.

Destroying the Hex also meant that she had to let go of Vision and her children as part of Wanda’s fantasy. To save the world and her powers from Agatha, Wanda chooses to destroy Westview and beat the most powerful witch in her own deception game. With this, Wanda loses her whole family, and her story ends in grief once again.

Agnes’s True Identity and Intentions

The moment Agnes turned into her true self Agatha, a magical being of nature that can make the magic of other creatures. Agatha had used this technique before to wipe out her coven, and now after recognizing Wanda’s true powers, she planned to do the same with her. Even after knowing Wanda is a creature possessed by chaotic magic, Agatha still lusts for the power of the Scarlet Witch.

Promising to stabilize the spell of Westview in exchange for Wanda’s powers, Agatha breaks free the residents from Wanda’s magical stronghold making Wanda realize that destroying the Hex would mean no family.

Reaching towards the end, Wanda manages to defeat Agnes, but she does not kill her. Instead, Agnes is the only resident left in town who is still possessed by Wanda’s magical trance and is doomed to live as nosy Agnes forever. The finale, however, points towards Wanda returning to Agathe as she possesses more knowledge for magic than her.

The marvel comics have portrayed Agathe as Wanda’s mentor, and they have a relationship that goes beyond friendliness. This rules out as a strong point for both the character’s future in the MCU and how things can eventually come along in future MCU projects.

However, the power that Wanda releases to defeat Agatha turns her into the Scarlet Witch, whose origin is mentioned in Darkhold, the Book of the Damned as well. There it is said that Scarlet Witch is a creature of chaotic magic which is doomed to destroy the earth.

However, the power that Wanda releases to defeat Agatha turns her into the Scarlet Witch, whose origin is mentioned in Darkhold, the Book of the Damned as well. There it is said that Scarlet Witch is a creature of chaotic magic which is doomed to destroy the earth. The witch Agatha also claims that the Scarlett Witch is even more powerful than Doctor Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme, the most outstanding practitioner of magic on earth.

With Wanda’s new powers and the grief that she carries, her role has become more dangerous than ever. Her powers can become the source of many new problems in the MCU, and also it can be a potential opening to the multiverse in other worlds. Wanda has a heart full of pure intentions, but she cannot absorb the grief of losing her kids and Vision once again.

As we have seen in the end credits, where Wanda is all alone making tea, on the other side is Scarlet Witch, looking for the Book of the Damned to find a way to get her family back. At one point, the viewers can also hear the twins crying, which means that the two are alive, probably in some other universe which also indicates their future in the marvel cinematic universe

Final Words

The ending of WandaVision paves the way for many new possibilities and entries into the marvel cinematic universe along with a direct relationship to Doctor Strange 2. However, many of the article’s theories are fan-based and may not be happening in reality. The article will be updated from time to time with the release of other Marvel shows as well. I love telling people about my stories, stories that play in my mind only. When I am writing, there is no limit to how far I can go swimming in this deep ocean of words. Reading and writing are the two things that help in organizing my messed up thoughts in a formative way. Come along on this journey with me as I write and you read the stories that I have to tell!
