Wanda’s Grief Turns Her Into Scarlet Witch In The Multiverse Of Madness!

Why Is Wanda Evil In Multiverse? Darkhold Corrupts Wanda’s Soul In Multiverse!

Ever since Elizabeth Olsen’s debut in Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015), fans have been waiting for the day when she takes off the mask of innocence and turns into the satanic witch. Wanda’s transformation into Scarlet Witch was anticipated at the end of WandaVision, but sadly that didn’t happen. However, after a long wait now, fans could finally see Scarlet Witch come out in her full glory in the Multiverse Of Madness. So, did Scarlet Witch match up to the Marvel fans’ expectations? What’s the final verdict on her evil nature?

For years now, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff was kept on the sidelines, but with Marvel Phase Four, things have finally started to move at a quick pace. Wanda Maximoff was seen as a naive teenager in Age Of Ultron who didn’t know how to control her powers. After her powers were used for wrong in the Sakovian war, she was taken under the Avengers’ wing, molded into something she wasn’t.

It wasn’t until WandaVision revealed her backstory that fans realized how lonely she truly was. All Wanda ever yearned was to be a daughter and a sister, but how does that happen when your family is killed and taken from you? Every time Wanda tried having a family, her attempts went in vain, and she kept losing a part of her. During the events of WandaVision, it was also revealed Wanda’s powers (given to her by Mind Stone) amplified the chaos magic present inside her.

MCU’s Scarlet Witch Is The Next Big Evil Dad In The Marvel Universe!

WandaVision’s evil mastermind Agatha Harkness played a big role in bringing out the chaos magic present inside Wanda. Agatha is the first person in MCU who identified Wanda as Scarlet Witch and pushed her to her limits. Though Wanda does not seem to be much happy about the revelation at the beginning, she claims what’s truly hers by the end.

So far, Wanda’s journey in the MCU has been full of grief. First, it was because she lost her family. After that, she was denied the happiness that Vision envisioned for them. She created a magical hex, Westview, where she lives happily with her twins Billy and Tommy and Vision to overcome her grief. But the magic soon fades, and reality comes crawling to her. By the end of WandaVision, our protagonist dissolves the hex she created, which takes her family away.

In Multiverse Of Madness, Wanda’s grief is amplified, which has made her study Darkhold to get back to her sons via the Multiverse. Wanda loves her sons immensely, so she lets Darkhold take over her when she hears their cries. Wanda has completely embraced Darkhold in the Multiverse Of Madness which makes her the villain. It’s not Wanda who goes after America Chavez in the Multiverse Of Madness, it’s the satanic Scarlet Witch. Throughout the movie’s entirety, Wanda remains the Scarlet Witch, and it only ends with her end.
