Well! all the answers are contained in the next season of Yellowstone.

The new season, season 5 of Yellowstone aired on November 13 with its first episode, “One Hundred Years is Nothing”. We meet John Dutton as the new governor of Montana. Yes! He’s finally the new governor. But what about the Ranch? Has it remained the same! Seems so!

Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 1 Review

Beth is right by John’s side but Jamie seems to be keeping a little distance. Everyone is celebrating John’s victory except for Jamie. There is something going on with Beth and Jamie as they are shown staring into each other for a long time and this is something noticed by their rivals as well. Now it will be interesting to see how Duttons rivals will take advantage of this situation and what is John actually planning to do as a Governor, as we know his first priority is saving the Ranch.

There is also a flashback scene, which is a little unclear as to why it was shown here in the first place! In the flashback scene we are taken to teenage days of Beth and Rip and their first date, where Beth explains how she gets what she wants using her sexuality, making Rip jealous and angry. This scene follows Beth apologizing to Rip for her past actions towards him.

The second half of this episode introduces a new character, Sarah Atwood played by Dawn Olivieri. This new character has been described as, “confident corporate Shark and a new arrival to Montana”. She is more likely to take advantage of poor Jamie, turning him against the rest of the Dutton family. Since he seems to be at Beth and John’s mercy right now as they have his footage with the dead body of his biological father, Garrett Randal.

The first episode of this season, “One Hundred Years is Nothing” has a tragic end, as it ends with Monica losing her baby boy after crashing her car on her way to the hospital.

Final Words

Unlike the first episode of season 4, the season 5’s of this famous American drama’s first episode may not seem to be very powerful but it’s surely going to be bl0ody, as stated by Kelly Reily, who portrays the character of Beth Dutton, daughter of John Dutton.

Season 5 of Yellowstone airs weekly, every Sunday at 8pm ET/ST only on Paramount network. This season consists of 14 episodes, divided into two parts of seven episodes.
