The story of Night At The Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again revolves around the character of Nick Daley, who is done with school and is looking for a job. Now, Nick is Larry Daley’s son, who is the night guard at the American Museum of Natural History. Larry has to take a leave for someday as he has some other important business to attend to. Due to the museum’s unnatural phenomenon at night all guards are running away in fear.
Larry turns to his son, who currently has no work to do, and asks him to cover for him. He is one of the people who knows the secret of the museum, that everything comes to life during the night. But Larry warns him and specifically tells him to lock the basement every night before doing anything else. And naturally one night Nick forgets to lock the basement and Kahmunrah, the mad king who wants to rule the world comes to life and escapes from the basement.
