Do you like to watch historical fantasy films? If you were into history in school or did not doze off in between its lectures, I’ll take that as a yes. So, on the basis of your interest, I’ve got an excellent recommendation for you: Britannia (2018). The title of the show might suggest that its filming location is Britain, but no. Not necessarily. It’s some place entirely different. Do you want to know where was Britannia filmed?
Historical fantasy is one of the most fascinating genres in the whole of literature. Nothing can capture the intricate details of the past as perfectly as the films and shows of this genre can. Historical movies like Troy, open us to a whole new world–a world that (sadly) no longer exists. Apart from social norms, clothing styles, and traditions of that time, what’s equally appealing are their locations. I think the perfect location adds half the magic to historical shows.
So, if you want to appreciate Britannia even more, it’s imperative that you know where it was filmed. The show has been lensed in some of the most scenic landscapes in the Czech Republic, Wales, and parts of England. The production unit had to set up filming camps at various places just so that the show could look and feel more authentic to the audience.
Aren’t you curious to know more about the filming locations of this historical fantasy show? As a history lover, you should be. In fact, if I were you, I’d want to know EVERYTHING about where was Britannia filmed! You too should keep scrolling to find out all the details.
