The basic premise of Dive Club follows a group of Australian teenage girls, who dive into the deep sea to find lost treasures. The plot thickens, when one of the girls goes missing while scuba diving during a cyclonic storm. The sudden disappearance forces her other friends to form a search party.

Dive Club has a total of 12 exciting episodes from the first season, released in 2021. Reportedly the makers were planning to shoot the second season of the show, but haven’t actually started it yet. Where Was Dive Club Filmed? Let’s Know This Adventure Drama Series Closely! 

As mentioned before, Dive Club is an Australian show. Thus, while drafting the concept of the series, the creator of the show, Steve Jaggi, wanted to shoot in and around beautiful locations in his country.

So, after conferring with other heads of the unit, Saggi asked the production members to scout for ideal filming locations across various beautiful and picturesque places in Australia. The crew scouted the locations and subsequently submitted the list to Steve.

Jaggi reviewed the list and visited the locations in person, to ascertain the overall setting. He then instructed the production members to commence shooting.

The principal photography for the first season of Dive Club began in the second week of March 2021 and continued till the last week of April. The filming schedule got slightly delayed due to the mismanagement of the production members, and also because of an incident that took place on set. However, the crew later made up for the lost time and worked diligently.

The opening sequence from the pilot episode of Dive Club, where we see the group of young teenage girls, gearing up for scuba diving, was actually filmed in Cairns. This beautiful coastal city of Australia is considered the “Gateway to Great Barrier Reefs”. This is exactly why Steve chose this particular city, as the prime filming location for his show.

Now, in order to capture the underwater scenes, the production members used special cameras and high-definition lenses. A team of safety operators and deep divers always protected the crew, while the underwater sequences were being filmed, to curb any accidents.

Other pivotal sequences of the show were captured near the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. The production members took special shooting permission from the owner of a local shack, to capture the sequences of the friendly banters.

Scenes from episode 8 onwards, were all filmed near Port Douglas. This tropical town of Queensland is located in the northernmost region of the state. The important sequences of Cape Mercy in the show were all captured around this town. 

The final episode of Dive Club was filmed near the Daintree National Park, after which the production members wrapped the entire shooting process and began working on the promotion of the show.
