Director Dave Russell initially wanted to shoot Drink Masters in and around America. However, to keep the filming budget low, the production unit eventually decided to film in Canada. The city of Hamilton located in the province of Ontario is where the majority of the shooting was done.

The production unit arrived at the scenic city of Hamilton to film all 10 episodes of the pilot season of Drink Masters. As all the rounds were designed to be held inside a set, the production unit readily began working on it.
A perfect set was created inside a renowned studio located in the downtown area of Hamilton. The production unit turned around a vacant space with the help of ambient lights, contrasting background fixtures, and different bar set-ups to create a beautiful-looking competition venue. Cameras with wide-angle lenses were fixed at different parts of the stage, to capture each move of the contestants. The production unit had to struggle a bit with the logistics company, for which the schedule was delayed for 3 days.
The majority of the filming involved capturing interior sequences, however, a few establishing shots of the series also featured a few idyllic locations in Hamilton. The production unit took more or less 2 weeks to set up everything inside the studio and filmed the remaining part of the actual competition in another 2 weeks. After the production unit completed the entire filming process, they began working on post-production, as all 10 episodes were to be released together.

Plot Of Drink Masters | What’s It About
At the very beginning of the series, we are acquainted with the host, Tone Bell, a renowned stand-up comedian, who gives a short tour of the luxurious bar on set, while explaining the basic concept of the show. And later introduces us to the 12 talented contestants from around the globe who are keen on achieving the coveted title of the ultimate Drink Master.
The first episode throws in a challenge to the contestants, to make Margarita, a famous cocktail using their own innovative recipe. Judges, Solarik and Reiner distribute points to the most promising contestants, after the end of each round.
The bottom three contestants are then asked to face the elimination challenge, losing which will send one contender home! The episodes gradually progress by bringing in new fun concepts for the contenders to face such as making new cocktails with exotic spices and herbs. And contestants have to deliver the most delicious and stunning drinks to the judges.
Eventually, the top 3 contestants make it to the final round, on episode 10, and are challenged to curate a three-course bar menu.
