The plot of Hidden Gems follows Addie (played by Hunter King) as she goes to Hawaii for her sister’s destination wedding. Addie is to be the maid of honor for the ceremony. But, during a paddleboard yoga session at the Hawaiian resort, Addie ends up losing her grandmother’s ring, the family’s most treasured heirloom. 

Addie is desperate to find the ring. Despite the fact that the ring has now settled at the bottom of the ocean. She takes the help of a local dive instructor, Jack. He’s a bit of a lone wolf but somehow agrees to help Addie. 

However, Addie, who is Scuba certified herself, insists on accompanying Jack on his search for the lost heirloom. Initially, Jack doesn’t agree with this. But later, the two of them reach an agreement and go off in search of the ring together. 

What begins as a simple treasure hunt in the depths of the ocean turns into something more meaningful and romantic as time passes. Together, Jack and Addie explore the hidden gems of the Hawaiian ocean while simultaneously falling in love.

Because several well-known personalities like Barack Obama, Richard Nixon, etc., have resided here. On top of that, Princes Charles and Princess Diana booked over 100 rooms in this hotel for a party in 1985.  

Several beach scenes that you see in the movie were filmed at Waimanalo Beach, which is located on the eastern end of O’ahu. The beach allowed the filmmakers to shoot several mesmerizing shots of the ocean. 

Maui, Hawaii

A part of the filming of Hidden Gems also took place in Maui, Hawaii. Maui is the second largest island in Hawaii. There are several breathtaking beaches on Maui’s coast.
