However, after the director denied making any changes to classrooms, she decided to only film a handful of scenes inside the classes. Anya instead used a renowned studio located on the outskirts of Vancouver and filmed the remaining interior scenes. The movie’s final sequence was also shot inside the same studio, depicting the prom night.
The production member also filmed some additional outdoor scenes in and around the city of Vancouver. The place where Mandy runs into the man of her dreams was actually filmed inside a famous Canadian coffee shop, and no, it wasn’t Tim Hortons.
The production members visited the local coffee shop and spoke to the owner. After acquiring shooting permission from the owner, the team captured the interior shots depicting Mandy’s first meeting with her lover.
