The other sex workers of the same brothel gather in search for justice but to their dismay, they are turned down by the local sheriff Little Big Dagget. However, the group decides to float a bounty to anyone, who will succeed in bringing the murderers of Delilah to their knees.

Learning about the events that had unfurled and the rewards that are posted for it, an ex bandit (Bill Munny) comes to Big Whiskey town, to finish his last mission and collect the bounty. Although a similar bandit like Munny (English Bob) arrives at the town as well looking for the reward.

Full fledged drama and action unfolds as these two groups fight each other through thrilling gun battles and strategies, while also being pursued by the sheriff. The thrilling sequence of action and the face-offs are well shot, with placement of apt dialogues to add on the mood of the scene. The cast display their acting skills and pedigree on the screen making the characters more lively, which involves the audience to enjoy it even more!

You can see Clint Eastwood as Bill Munny playing the central character of the film, as interestingly enough he was the director of the film at the same time. Other famous actors such as Morgan Freeman, Richard Harris, Anna Thomson, and Gene Hackman can be seen playing supporting roles in the movie, making the star cast of the film power packed.

The story is well paced as the events do not seem to overlap and the story progresses naturally without making the next scene too obvious. Even though in the movie Unforgiven, the director showcases the story taking place in America, the majority of the filming was completed in the Canadian province of Alberta and regions around it.

Alberta, being home to large mountains, deserts and prairies was chosen by the production team as an ideal location for the film, as it completely coincided with the setting they wanted to portray on screen, right from the opening sequence.

DOP – Jack Green began shooting for Unforgiven in August 1991 and had finished it by early November 1991. Throughout this span not only Alberta but other regions of the surrounding locations were also filmed. Let’s find those locations!
