Plot Of Wedding Crashers | What’s It About
The film begins by introducing us to the character of John Beckwith, a goofy young man from Washington D.C., who is shown to mediate nasty divorce cases for a living. He spends the rest of the time trying to court attractive women, by attending random wedding ceremonies, along with his partner, Jeremy Grey.
Later in the film, the character of William Cleary, a high-ranking U.S. government official gets acquainted with John and invites him to a family event in Maryland. The lead actor readily agrees to the request and tags Jeremy with him. But as soon as they reach the venue, Jeremy begins to look for young and single bridesmaids to flirt with, while John attempts to attract Claire, the bride’s sister.
Midway through the film, a substantial amount of drama unfurls, as Jeremy unknowingly invokes true feelings in Gloria’s heart, who later forces him to marry her. Yet, John still struggles to understand Claire’s psyche, and somehow ends up fighting her ex-boyfriend, Sack.
Eventually, John comes back to win Claire’s heart, after realizing his love for her. But things don’t go as planned when Sack decides to get back with Gloria and propose to her while attending Jeremy and Gloria’s wedding. Gloria finally selects John as her right suitor, after he confesses his feelings in front of the crowd. The credits roll as John and Jeremy spend happy moments with their better halves and plan to crash another random wedding.
