The entire shooting of Everything Everywhere All At Once was done on location. In other words, while choosing the filming location for this movie, the makers thought of shooting in and around the same place, where the story is set, which is California.
So, after Kwan and Scheinert arrived at this decision, they asked the production members to scout for ideal filming locations around the city of Los Angeles. Later, a separate team consisting of 5 members, also scouted some other locations around other cities in California.
The makers eventually decided to film the majority of the film, in and around the city of Los Angeles. The remaining sequences of the movie were filmed near San Fernando and Simi Valley.
The principal photography began in the first week of January 2020 and continued until the second week of March, of the same year. Luckily the shooting wrapped, just before the American government declared the onset of Covid-19 and imposed travel restrictions.
During the course of the shooting, no actors were injured while performing the stunt sequences. Trained stunt-men were brought in to perform the stunt sequences, especially the Kung Fu fighting scenes in the movie.

The production members had to change the signboard of the laundromat with the name San Fernando Majers Coin Laundry to the name which Evelyn and her husband gave. The exterior, as well as the interior sequences of the laundromat, were then filmed.
The production members then traveled to the next shooting location in California.
Los Angeles, California | USA
The sequences depicting a certain version of Evelyn’s parallel life were mostly captured in and around the city of Los Angeles.
The production members filmed some pivotal outdoor sequences near East 7th Street and Mateo Street. In fact, the sequence in the movie, where Evelyn appears to be a sign-spinner was also captured around the same area in Los Angeles.
Other important scenes of the film were captured outside of Elysian Park and The Los Angeles Theatre, which is located at 615 South Broadway. During the final stages of shooting the production members moved to a place near Simi Valley.
The sequences depicting the IRS building in the movie were then filmed inside a vacant building located near 400 National Way, Simi Valley. Shortly after the production members had to wrap up the entire shooting process due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
