Coming back to where was Ferris Bueller filmed, the opening sequence of the show was captured near Old Ranch Country Club, where we see the character of Ferris for the first time. The production members took special shooting permission from the owners of the Country Club before filming inside the premises.

However, the sequences depicting Ferris’ school, where most of the adventure and fun activities take place, were filmed inside a public school located near East Village. But, before the production members could capture the scenes inside the classroom, special lighting equipment had to be installed.

The majority of the outdoor sequences depicting Ferris’ high school were all filmed in and around this public school. Additional outdoor sequences were shot near Alamitos Beach, after which the production members returned to Los Angeles and filmed the remaining scenes.
