The place Laguna where the filming began is a CDP (census-designated place) which is located in the Cibola County of New Mexico. In simple terms, a concentration of population that is precisely marked by the United States Census Bureau for statistical purposes. Laguna has an estimated population of just 1,241 and is situated 47 miles west of one of New Mexico’s popular cities, Albuquerque. 

The place was founded back in 1699, which makes it the most recent of the New Mexican pueblo, a North American Indian settlement of the southwestern US. The people of this place speak a language called Keresan, it’s a native American language. An annual religious feast takes place, where the people of Laguna celebrate Saint Joseph, who was a first-century Jewish man of Nazareth.

One of the best-preserved buildings, having immense historical importance, is situated in Laguna. It is called the San Jose de la Laguna Mission and Convento.
