Other pivotal sequences of the show were captured in Kingston. The scene where the lead character is incarcerated was actually filmed inside a real prison in Kingston. The production members took special shooting permission from the jail authorities of Kingston Penitentiary.
The interior sequences showcasing Jack’s due time in jail were then filmed inside this prison in Canada. Additional outdoor sequences of this show were captured in Port Perry. This Canadian town is an integral part of Scugog.
The remaining scenes from the second half of Reacher were captured in and around this beautiful town. The production members then moved to the city of Toronto and filmed the interior scenes inside a well-equipped studio.
