The story of Super Dark Times is set in the 1990s and revolves around Zack Taylor, played by Owen Campbell, and Josh Templeton, played by Charlie Tahan. Zack and Josh are best friends, and they’ve known each other since they were little kids. They go to the same school and are also interested in the same girl, Allison Bannister, played by Elizabeth Cappuccino. One fine day, Josh invites Zack to his house and also calls two other friends, Daryl and Charlie.
So, the four of them decide to go through Josh’s brother’s room in the hope they would find something interesting. Eventually, they find a Katana and a bag of marijuana. A Katana is a Japanese sword that is extremely sharp and not to be played with. The next day, Josh, Zack, Daryl, and Charlie play with the sword in a park that is located near a local cemetery.
When Josh notices that Daryl had stolen the bag of marijuana, he asks him to give it back. But Daryl refuses to. After a tense argument, both of them end up fighting. And Josh unintentionally stabs Daryl with the Katana. Daryl panics and runs toward the forest, later, Josh and Zack find his dead body. They hide the Katana as well as Daryl’s body in the forest.
