She is unlike other nuns as she drinks and smokes and intermingles with men. As the two spend more time together, Hogan finds out that Sister Sara isn’t actually a nun but a pr*stitute.

While this is shocking for Hogan, he chooses to stick with the original plan. Sister Sara and Hogan decide to infiltrate a French fort in Mexico and blow it up with dynamite. They are met with alarmed French soldiers, rogue Indians, and a lot of other problems along the way. All these events culminate into a raw and energetic watch experience.

Filming was scattered all across the major cities in Mexico. Areas like Jantetelco Sierra Madre Occidental, and Tlayacapan in Morelos, Bavispe, Sonora, Bacanora, and San Miguel de Horcasitas in Sonora, were used for filming. Further, Casa de Janos in Chihuahua is also featured heavily in the movie. 

Filming in Mexico wasn’t easy for the cast and crew. It is reported that almost everyone on the set, including Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine, suffered from illness due to the food and water in Mexico. Further complications arose due to the use of a rattlesnake in the movie. The Mexican government warned against releasing it in the wild, and as such, Eastwood had to kill it.

These antics created an uproar against him among animal rights activists, but the situation was handled. Eastwood had to release a statement that it was done against his will and only due to certain conditions. Filming in Mexico took 65 days to complete, after which some parts were shot in LA.
