The production members arranged a vintage-styled house to shoot the interior sequences of Anne’s family home.

Other pivotal sequences from the second and third episodes of Women at War were also filmed in the same region. Several outdoor shots were captured in the locales of La Manufacture Royale and Lac de la Maix, after which the production members moved to the next filming spot.

The majority of the shooting took place in the town of Montreuil-sur-Mer. A private property located at 1 Allee de la La Chartreuse, was used to depict the French Military Hospital. Reportedly, a considerable amount of time and finances were spent in recreating the look of this army hospital.

The second last episode and the finale of the series were both filmed in Ile-de-France. This beautiful French region is located in the north-central part of the country, near the city of Paris. The production members transported the tanks and other military equipment shown in the series, from the capital to this region.

Filming lasted for about 2 weeks or so, the crew then started working on the promotion of the show.
