Global recognition is what all actors and actresses seek. One of the most significant global recognition awards is the Oscars. The Academy Awards, more popularly and formally known as the Oscars, are given to the best in the film industry for creative and technical achievement. This once-in-a-year lifetime opportunity to get globally recognized is what all the actors wait for. Now, let’s know which films and their superheroes qualified for the Oscar nominations 2024.

The Oscar statuette features an Art Deco-styled knight. As the world’s most established entertainment awards show, it is also the oldest of the four leading annual entertainment honors in the United States; the Grammy Honors, the Emmy Awards for television, and the Tony Awards for theater are all based on the Academy Awards.

The movie with the most nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards is Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, with 13 nominations. Among the ten nominations for Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon was his eleventh Oscar nomination for best director.

For more updates on the nominations list of Oscars Academy awards and categories in which Oppenheimer and Killers Of The Flower Moon excelled, keep reading the article until the end.

With 13 nominations, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has maintained its dominance and is now the film with the most nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards. Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon received ten nominations, including the director’s tenth Oscar nomination for best director.

Meanwhile, Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things has received eleven nominations. Among the omissions from this year’s Oscar nominations are Greta Gerwig, who directed the picture, and Margot Robbie, who lost out on a best actress nod.

Only one woman made the shortlist for the Best Director nomination: Justine Triet, whose thriller Anatomy Of A Fall won the Palme d’Or at Cannes the previous year. For her semi-autobiographical film Past Lives, Celine Song was not nominated for best director; moreover, Greta Lee, the film’s lead actress, did not receive a nomination for Best Actress despite being rumored to be in the running.

Voting for the Oscars is done by around 11,000 experts from 93 different countries. Jimmy Kimmel will host this year’s ceremony, which will take place on March 10 in Los Angeles.
