Alpha Street, South Pasadena, California 

The very opening sequence from where the plot starts with the title ‘City of Pasadena’ was shot at 5505 Atlas Street at the southeast corner of Alpha Street. This location looked lush green in the movie, whereas the fact is some additional effects were added to the sequence. This location was selected to make the opening sequence very impressive. 

Second Street Tunnel, Figueroa Street, Los Angeles

The sequence when the Bride tries to catch Sophie Fatale was shot at the Second Street Tunnel. Shooting here was full of risks but all the cast and crew members took care of each other. Also, some professional trainers were appointed so that the cast members could shoot without getting injured. 

St Luke’s Medical Center, East Washington, Boulevard

The scene when you saw The Bride gaining consciousness after being in a coma for four years was shot at St Luke’s Medical Center. This hospital was functional until a few years back. But today, it’s one of the famous filming locations. At the time of the shooting of Kill Bill, no changes were made to the hospital. 

Beijing Film Studios, China

The fighting sequences where The Bride showcases her skills with the help of her master sword was shot at a set built inside the premise of Beijing Film Studios. A special team of professionals was hired to prepare the set. Apart from this, the sequence featuring O-Ren’s  House of Blue Leaves was also shot here. The same location was used to film the martial arts training scenes. 

Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo, Japan

Rainbow Bridge was used to shoot an action sequence. This location featured when The Bride was riding her bike on the illuminating suspension bridge. A lot of precautionary measures were taken while shooting this sequence and luckily no one got injured.

Mojave Desert, Los Angeles

Some initial sequences of Kill Bill Vol 2 were shot at Mojave Desert. Although it was very challenging to shoot for the entire production unit, they managed to do it somehow. The unfavorable weather conditions were the biggest challenge to overcome at this location. 

Sanctuary Adventist Church, 198th Street, East Avenue G 

You saw this church in the movie as Two Pines Wedding Chapel. The makers were permitted to shoot inside this church for a limited time. That’s why they shot only a few sequences here. But the team had an amazing time filming the movie at such a peaceful religious place. 

Sam’s Hofbrau, 1751 East Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles

You must have seen Budd working as a bouncer at My Oh My Street Club. The name was fictional and the real place was Sam’s Hofbrau. While filming here, the production members were served some of the famous dishes of this restaurant. Also, a few minor changes were made to the interior of this location. 

Gao Temple, Miao Gao Mountain, Zhongwei, China

The sequence when you saw Kiddo learning the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique was shot at Gao Temple. Filming all the sequences here was a bump-free ride for the makers. The location had a peaceful ambiance, which filled the cast and crew members with energy. A few outdoor scenes of the temple were shot at the local spots of Zhongwei to make the sequences look amazing. 

Costa Careyes, Costa Allegary, Mexico

Costa Careyes was used to film the sequence when Beatrix catches up with Bill for the last time. Luckily, the weather conditions were favorable here and the entire team felt like they were on a mini vacation.

Plot Of Kill Bill | What’s It About?

Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Kill Bill Vol 1 features the life of The Bride, a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. When she finds out about her pregnancy, The Bride decides to escape from her boss, Bill. She lands in Texas and decides to marry a young man. Unfortunately, her planning goes wrong and her fiance dies on the day of their wedding. The Bride wakes up from coma four years later and seeks revenge on the culprit. 

Kill Bill Vol 2 continues the attempts of The Bride to kill the culprit. Also, she keeps an eye on her boss Bill. She targets Bill’s younger brother, the only survivor from the squad of assassins.
