The Plot Of Pinocchio | What Is Pinocchio About?

Set in 1895, Pinocchio revolves around the life of a kind Italian woodcarver, Geppetto, who lives a lonely life. The woodcarver lost his son a few years ago. He creates a puppet out of wood and names it Pinocchio in remembrance of his son. 

At night, The Blue Fairy visits the woodcarver’s house and gives life-like qualities to the puppet. She also tells him that he can be a real boy if he turns out to be brave, selfless, and a loving son. Geppetto wakes up to find Pinocchio alive and weeps with joy. He begins raising him as his son, but Pinocchio wants to live a life marked by many adventures. 

Geppetto sends Pinocchio to school, but he runs away from there with a circus master who lures him under false pretenses. The circus master intends to sell Pinocchio. The latter escapes from there at just the right time but is captured by someone else to be turned into a donkey and work in coal mines. 

In the movie, we follow a heartwarming journey of a father-son duo as they navigate their way through disastrous events to be able to live together.
