Towards the final quarter of the film, the duo succeed in baking a super delicious ginger-bread cake, and prepare it for the final presentation. The credits roll as Kylie finally confesses to Nick about her true feelings, before appearing for the last round of American Gingerbread Competition.

Although, The Sweetest Christmas is set in America, the entire filming took place in Canada! Director Terry Ingram, along with other production heads, decided to shoot the majority of the film in British Columbia, specifically in Vancouver. This location was selected to capture the scenic backdrop of the Canadian sea port city and also to save hefty filming tax!

The 33% filming tax credit immensely helped the production unit to channelize the saved finances into other aspects during the making of The Sweetest Christmas! The principal photography of the film began in the summer of 2017 and was completed in just 2 weeks time! Vancouver, British Columbia

With a very short filming schedule, the production unit immediately began shooting after reaching Vancouver. The opening scene of the film, which featured Kylie’s home in America, was filmed in the outskirts of the city. 

The production crew while filming the outdoor scenes of Kylie’s neighborhood, had to arrange for a snow machine, to recreate the snowy streets of America during Christmas! The logistics and equipment were pre-arranged and were quickly transported to the filming location, while shooting the neighborhood sequence.

Other important sequences of the film, which showed Nick’s family pizzeria and his home, were all filmed in the downtown area of Vancouver! In fact an actual pizzeria was used to recreate the shots!
