The story of Triangle of Sadness is set in the Bahamas and some parts of the Caribbean Islands. Although, the shooting of this film takes place entirely in and around a beautiful Mediterranean country.
In other words, while Ruben was busy selecting suitable cast members for this project, he asked the production members to scout filming locations. According to the instructions given by the director, the filming crew scouted a number of places in and around Greece.
The creative heads of the unit planned to shoot almost all sequences of Triangle of Sadness in Greece, except for a few. A handful of sequences were later filmed in Sweden inside a well-equipped studio.
After the filming locations were finalized by the makers, they instructed the crew to commence shooting. The principal photography began in September 2020 and continued for almost 2 months.

The shooting of Triangle of Sadness began in the coastal town of Katakola. This beautiful place is considered to be an integral part of the Pyrgos municipality area, which is located in western Elis, Greece.
The opening sequence of the movie, depicting the characters of Carl and Yaya, receiving an invitation to a yacht party, was filmed in this town. Plus, the sequences depicting the actual super-luxurious on which Yaya and her boyfriend party along with other affluent guests, were also captured near this town.
The production members had to arrange a special yacht, loaded with all modern amenities. Thus, the outdoor sequences depicting the uber-cool party on the sea were all captured on this luxurious yacht.
The second half of the movie, where we see the characters being stranded on an Island, was filmed near Evia or Euboea Island. This place is considered to be the second-largest Greek Island, in terms of area and population.
The production members traveled north of Evia to Paralia Chiliadou and filmed the sequences showcasing the place where the characters take refuge after the cyclonic storm.
Additional outdoor sequences of the movie were filmed in and around this beautiful Greek island, after which the crew moved to Sweden. Mostly, the remaining interior sequences of the movie were captured inside a well-equipped studio located at Vastra Gotalands Ian, Sweden.
