A medium-sized house located on the outskirts of Vancouver was used to shoot the family home of Sara. The production unit arranged special lighting equipment to capture the scenes at night. However, the same house was not used to shoot the interior scenes. The unit used a well-equipped studio in Vancouver to showcase the inside area of Sara’s home.

To capture the outdoor scene of the music festival, the unit moved to the city of Victoria. An open field was decorated to make it appear as the venue of a happening music fest. The unit also constructed a stage and brought in a sound engineer to minimize the sound distortion, while shooting the concert sequence in the film. Some other establishing scenes were filmed around the city of Victoria, after which the unit began working on the promotion of this romantic film.

The central story of the film revolves around the character of Sara, an independent young corporate lawyer, living by herself in America. Later in the film, as the female lead loses a number of recurring cases, she decides to take a break. Soon after, Sara is shown to make a call to her parents, informing them about her decision.

Midway through the film, after the parents console her about the professional loss, they happily invite Sara to their old-town house, to spend Christmas together. The female lead then travels to her parent’s home and later goes out for a drink with her brother and sister-in-law to a local pub. As fate would have for the female lead, she surprisingly runs into her ex-boyfriend Josh, at the same bar. Josh then reveals to her about the concert he is planning to perform with his band and invites Sara to come over. Romance starts brewing between the ex-lovers as the former emotions are evoked.
