The story of Magic Mike XXL is set in Florida. However, the shooting of this film took place in and around the beautiful state of Georgia. The makers of this movie wanted to select a filming location, which could prove to be cost-effective and picturesque at the same time.
Thus after the initial stage of pre-production, the filming crew was asked to scout for ideal shooting locations in and around the state of Georgia. Mainly because the makers wanted to avail the lucrative filming tax credit offered by the state.
