Seoul | South Korea
The opening sequence of the movie, where we see the character of Ki Taek walking back to his home, along with his family members, was actually filmed in Seoul.

Thus the sequences depicting the small-sized apartment of Ki Taek, where he lived with his family, were actually captured near the suburban area of Seoul. This part of the city is mostly flocked with medium to small-sized homes, which are owned by blue-collar workers.
Additional outdoor sequences of the movie were captured around the downtown area of Seoul. The production members also filmed some pivotal scenes near the iconic Jahamun tunnel, after which they moved to the next shooting location in Korea.

The remaining outdoor sequences of the movie were filmed on the outskirts of Jeonju. The production members also traveled to Deogayng-gu to film a couple of outdoor scenes. The sequences depicting the Seongbuk-dong village in the movie were captured in Seongbuk-gu.
All interior sequences of the movie were filmed inside Goyang Aqua Studios, located at 250 Tongil-ro 396beon-gil. The production members then wrapped the entire shooting process and started working on post-production.
