The action-adventure film, Robin Hood was filmed in two foreign locations, Dubrovnik and Tura in Hungary. Major portions of the movie were shot in the city of Dubrovnik in Croatia. Principal photography of the movie began in February 2017 and was wrapped by May 2017.

The city of Dubrovnik was historically known as Ragusa. It is a city on the Adriatic Sea and falls in the region of Dalmatia, in the southeastern part of Croatia. The city is one of the most popular tourist spots in Europe and in the Mediterranean. Dubrovnik has an estimated population of 42,615. Tura was the second and last filming location of the action-adventure film Robin Hood. Tura was originally a town that fell under Pest County in Hungary. In 2001 it was declared a city. The city of Tura is located between the Great Plains and Matra Hills in the Galga Valley.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Hungarian State Railways became the most important employer of Tura. Half the population of the town used to work for the state railways. Later it was also called the Railway Town.

Some of the major attractions in the city include the 200-year-old Roman Catholic Church, Lake Kónya, Schossberger Castle which was built in 1883, the Baroque Granary, and the Folk Museum.
