Where Was Ahsoka Filmed? Let’s Know This Action Adventure Series Closely!
The story of Ahsoka is set in a dystopian future, specifically around the Galactic Empire of Star Wars. So to depict the sequences featuring the terrains of the outer world planets, the production members filmed most of the scenes inside a studio.
This project was initially announced by Lucasfilm Productions company after the release of The Mandalorian in June 2020. The makers intended this show to be an actual spinoff of the story, which was portrayed in The Mandalorian.
You’d be surprised to know that the same studio and the same kind of virtual production technology, which was used to create The Mandalorian, were also used for making Ahsoka. More than 85% of the show was filmed in a renowned studio in Los Angeles.
The principal photography of Ahsoka began last year, around the starting week of May. Shooting continued till the end of October of the same year. Throughout the entire course of shooting, this project was given the working title of Stormcrow.
But before the filming began, the director wanted the cast members to take specific physical training classes. The director wanted to ensure that the actors were in perfect physical condition to perform the stunt sequence.

The production members of Ahsoka used the Manhattan Beach Studios to film the majority of the scenes. This renowned and well-equipped studio is located at 1600 Rosecrans Avenue. Popular shows and movies like Captain America: The First Avenger, Cold Case, Boston Legal, and Iron Man 2 were all filmed inside the Manhattan Beach Studios.
Although during the initial stages of shooting, some creative heads of Ahsoka wanted to travel to Culver City and use the Warner Brothers Studios. But eventually, the director stepped in, and finalized this studio at the eleventh hour.
The production members had very little time for preparation. Although, all pieces of equipment and specific props were arranged just in time. The state-of-the-art StageCraft virtual production technology was used to render the majority of the scenes.
The breathtaking sequences depicting the ruins of a Jedi or Sith Temple were all captured under the supervision of Filoni inside this studio.
The shooting of Ahsoka continued till the second week of October 2022. The filming crew then wrapped the entire shooting process and began working on the promotion of the show.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, the basic premise of Ahsoka revolves around the character of Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Knight. At the beginning of the series, the female lead appears distressed after the loss of the Galactic Empire.
As the story progresses further, the former Jedi Knight recollects her memory while sitting and pondering near the ruins of the Jedi Temple. Soon the female lead senses an incoming attack and quickly finds cover. Upon further investigation, she finds out the arch-enemy of The Empire, Anakin Skywalker, is planning to take over the entire Galaxy.
