The story of All American is set in California. Thus right from the initial days of pre-productions, the makers wanted to shoot on location. So, after the script was adjusted and the makers selected the ideal cast members, they began looking for perfect filming locations in and around the state of California. 

After several weeks, the makers decided to shoot the opening season of All American in and around the lively Californian city of Los Angeles. The production members arranged the necessary logistics after April instructed them to commence shooting.

The principal photography began in the starting months of 2018 and took several weeks to complete. Reportedly, one of the main actors, while filming a sequence of an intense football, got badly injured. The actor sustained major injuries to the left ankle, and the doctors advised him to refrain from performing any outdoor activities.

This adversely impacted the shooting schedule, and resulted in eventually getting delayed. However, the other seasons of the show were filmed with ease. As the creators used stunt doubles, to capture the sequences of the remaining intense football matches.

The production members arranged a small-sized house and later turned around the exterior structure of the property. The outdoor shots depicting the family home of Spencer, plus, the scenes of his neighborhood, were then filmed.

The interior sequences of the lead actor’s home, however, were filmed inside a special studio in Los Angeles. As per the reports, the production members used this well-equipped studio located in south-central Los Angeles, only for the first season of All American. After a major disagreement with the owners of the studio, the makers decided to shoot the interior sequences of the other seasons, elsewhere.

Burbank, California | USA

The remaining interior sequences of the following seasons of All American were all filmed inside Warner Brother Burbank Studios. This famous studio, located at 4000 Warner Boulevard, Burbank has been used by a number of filmmakers for recreating enthralling sequences for their films and shows.

The production members of All American used Stage 29 of the Warner Brothers Burbank Studios, to capture most of the interior sequences of the show. Some additional outdoor sequences of the show were also captured in various parts of Burbank.
