The job was made even more difficult by the fact that Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were being filmed at the same time. Since Marvel hired the studio, the two movies had to work in tandem with each to depict Wakanda right.

Further, Black Panther features some scenes in Oakland, California. When King T’Chaka goes to visit his brother, the meeting takes place in an apartment complex in Oakland. The real location is actually the Wheat Street Towers in Atlanta.

For filming scenes that involved more supervised work and the need for a studio, things had to be expanded. As such Black Panther was also filmed in the Pinewood Atlanta Studios. Special effects and special stunts were taken care of there.

Lastly, other locations that feature in the movie are the Met Museum in New York as well as the UN HQ. To film that scene High Museum of Art was used as a stand-in for the Met and the Atlanta City Hall was used as a stand-in for the UN HQ.
