A couple of other outdoor shots of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn were captured. The filming crew used special lighting equipment to capture the scenes during the night. Filming in New York only lasted for a few weeks, after which the production members traveled overseas and captured the remaining scenes.

Singapore

The second phase of filming began in Singapore. The sequences depicting the accommodation of Rachel and Nick inside a luxurious hotel was actually captured inside The Raffles Hotel. 

The production members had to book an entire floor in the same luxury hotel, which is located at 1 Beach Rd, Singapore. This famous hotel is often visited by celebrities and affluent businessmen who travel to Singapore.

Other pivotal sequences in Singapore were captured near Marina Bay Sands and Caldwell House. In order to capture the flyover shots, the production members traveled to Sentosa Island.

Malaysia

The final quarter of the movie was filmed in Malaysia. The St Regis Kuala Lumpur, located at No 6 Jalan Stesen Sentral 2 was used to capture the sequences of Astrid’s entrance. Other pivotal sequences in Malaysia were filmed in Langkawi. 

The scenes depicting Ariminta’s bachelorette party in the movie were captured inside a luxury resort in Langkawi. Filming in Malaysia lasted till the end of June 2017, after which the production members returned to America and began working on the promotion of the film.
