So, the opening sequence where we see the group of teenagers devising a plan inside a convenience store was actually filmed inside a real grocery store. The production members had to get special shooting permission from the owners of the shop, which was located in the downtown area of Los Angeles.

In order to film the sequences of Demi’s family home, the production members arranged a medium-sized house located on the outskirts of Los Angeles, Luckily, no major changes were made to the structure or appearance of the property, which saved a lot of time and production budget, The interior sequences of Demi’s home were captured there.

The filming crew also acquired special shooting permission from the owner of a local deli, which is located near the Griffith Observatory. High-definition cameras and lighting equipment had to be used for capturing the sequences inside the deli.

This is the same place, where the teenagers find the gothic scripture and unknowingly awaken an age-old curse. Filming in Los Angeles continued for one month or so, after which the production members moved to Culver City and filmed the remaining interior sequences of the show, inside a studio.

The basic premise of Freeridge centers around the characters of Demi, Cameron, and Gloria, three overzealous teenagers, who release an age-old curse. At the very beginning of the show, Gloria devises an adventurous plan and entices her other friends to join her.

But, soon one of the characters drifts off to an unknown place and finds an ancient relic.
