However, it can still be done with the help of workarounds.

How To Send Audio On Instagram DMs?

Let’s start with the easiest way of sending audio messages on Instagram, i.e. voice notes. Follow the below-mentioned steps for the same:

• Open Instagram. 
• Tap on the Messenger icon located at the top right corner of the screen. Or, just swipe left from the main home screen. 
• Locate the chat you want to send an audio message in. 
• When the chat screen opens, tap the mic icon located in the “Message…” field.
  • Your audio will start recording. To send it, tap on the forward arrow icon located to its right. To delete it, tap on the delete icon present to it’s left. 
  • You can also long-press the mic icon to record your audio message. It will be sent when you release your finger from it.
