  • Slide over to the “Templates” tab from the bottom of the screen. 
  • Here, you’ll get to see a variety of reel ideas that you can use to create your own reels. Scroll through the reel template options to find the one you like. They are categorized under “Recommended for you,” “Trending”, “Saved audio”, etc. sections. 
  • When you do find the one you like, tap on the “Use template” option present in white. 
  • Now, you need to add videos and images from your camera roll. Tap on the “Add Media” option and then select the content you want. 
  • Once you’re done, tap on “Next,” located at the bottom right corner of the screen. Instagram will take a few seconds to process it all and make a reel for you accordingly.

  • Then, scroll through reels until you come across something you like. However, make sure that the reel you choose has “Use template” written over the name of the creator. 
  • Tap on the “Use template” option. 
  • You will now be taken to the editor section. Tap on the “Add media” option to add your clips. 
  • Once you’re happy with what you’ve got on the screen, tap on “Next,” situated at the bottom right corner of the screen. 
  • Instagram will take a few seconds to process all the clips you’ve selected and turn them into a reel. 
  • When this is done, all the individual clips will appear on the screen as a part of one smooth video.
